So you want to be an epic leader?

Well, first things first: You have to know what you're talking about. Not just in an "I saw it on the internet" kind of way, but in an "I am the world's foremost expert on this subject" kind of way. When somebody says they don't like your idea and asks for proof that it will work, do not respond with "Do I look like I'm made out of money?" They are looking at you because they respect your EXPERTISE!

Next is PASSION - without which even the most knowledgeable person would get bored pretty quickly. It doesn't matter how great your ideas are if nobody else shares them! Make sure your team knows why they need to get into this thing you're trying to do and that they know what's in it for them.

Lastly is COMMUNICATION - which must be done well if the other two are going to work at all! Express yourself clearly enough so your team knows where their responsibilities begin or end without micromanaging every detail of how long each action should take.

Remember EPIC: A handy acronym for remembering these three important fundamentals of epic leadership is Expertise (demonstrating mastery), Passion (being able to speak from the heart), and Communication (making sure others understand).
